Jack's first hike

Saturday was Jeff's birthday, so we used it as an excuse to get out of town and up to the mountains. We visited Ben, Brandy, and the boys in Winter Park and hiked around Monarch Lake. It was a great day--not too hot and not too cold--and Jack did a great job in his carrier. He started to get a little antsy by the end, but we think he enjoyed being outside for the afternoon.

4th of July

Grandpa Steve and Grandma Janet visited from Iowa for Jack's first Independence Day. We got a lot of work done around the house and finally got furniture for our front porch. Jack saw his first fireworks show and his first Rockies game on Friday night and saw his first parade on the 4th. (That makes two MLB stadiums in his first four months!) All in all, a great weekend!

Father's Day

We had a great time celebrating Jeff's first Father's Day this weekend. Grandma Jane was here after helping with Jack while I was in Miami for a few days, and we were very sad to see her go. Unfortunately, she was here an entire week and we didn't get ANY photos of her and Jack. We have to get better at that! But here are some pictures of just Jack anyway. He's getting so good at holding his head up when he's on his stomach.

Bath time

Now that Jeff and I are both working full-time, we don't take nearly as many pictures. He changes so much every week though that we want to try to keep up. These were taken last weekend after we gave him a bath. Jane and Randy got here yesterday, so we'll have some good Grandma and Grandpa pictures to post in the next couple of days.

Pool time

We took a trip to Phoenix last week with Steve, Janet, James, and Teagan. We had a wonderful time relaxing, laying by the pool, going to a baseball game, and golfing. The weather was beautiful, and it was a perfect trip to relax before Nike heads back to work tomorrow. You can see all of our pictures here.

Jack's first time in the pool. He didn't hate it, but didn't love it either.

Teagan, on the other hand, LOVED the pool.

We all had a good time at Jack and Teagan's first MLB game--the Diamondbacks beat the Blue Jays.

Trying to re-create a Corona commercial.

More fun in the pool.

Teagan riding a camel at the Phoenix Zoo.

Visit from Connor

Jeff's brother Scott, his wife Ann Marie, and their son Connor visited a few weeks ago. Connor loved the zoo and the children's museum, and we enjoyed watching the boys "play" together. Okay, so they didn't really play together yet, but they will soon! The pictures below are from the children's museum, when we tried to get the boys together for a picture--you can see for yourself how well that worked.

Smiles!

Jack is smiling all the time now, a trick he learned while we were home in Iowa. The trick is getting it on camera!
