Jack was baptized yesterday at the Newman Center. We were so happy that Father Ed (the same priest that married us) was able to do the ceremony. We also had a great time celebrating afterward with family and friends.

We Made It!
We made it home to Iowa without any trouble last week. Jack was great during the car ride. We figure this will be the easiest we ever travel with him since all he really does is eat and sleep. It's been great to be home and see so many family members and friends. We've already eaten food from Carlos O'Kelly's, Milio's, and Happy Joe's. Nike might just gain back the 40 pounds she lost after Jack was born!
We visited Grandma Jane, Grandpa Steve, and Grandma Janet at work on our way into town on Thursday.
On Friday, Jack got to meet Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Lenoch for the first time.
And later in the day, he got to meet cousin Teagan too. She did a great job "baby-sitting"!
And, finally, on Friday night (it was a busy day!), Jack got to meet the neighbors friends of Grandma Janet and Grandpa Steve.
On Saturday, Jack got to meet his other cousin Connor, as well as Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Fleming.

Iowa, Here We Come
We are so very excited to come home in a few days! Jack has so much gear, we're trying to figure out what he actually needs and what we can do without. And we're just keeping our fingers that the 11-hour car ride goes smoothly. Wish us luck!
Go Cubs Go
Some may argue that we're setting him up for a lifetime of disappointment, but we would beg to differ. In fact, Jack witnessed his first Cubs win (on TV) on Saturday while wearing his Cubs gear! Go Cubs!!

Tummy time
We're starting to put Jack on his belly for a few minutes at a time when he's in a good mood. He's really getting to be a pro at holding his head up. We think we're close to getting his first smile too. Jack and I had a busy week, with some kind of outing every day except Thursday. I'm starting to get more comfortable at taking him out for an hour or so at a time. Anything longer than that, I get nervous that he'll need to eat or have his diaper changed--and I'm not ready to do either of those in public yet! Below are a couple of videos. In one of them you can see how Jack is intrigued by the camera and just locks his eyes on it. He was probably completely freaked out by me playing paparazzi.

A few more pictures
Here are a few more pictures. It's hard for me to tell since I spend all of my time with him, but Jeff thinks he's growing and that he's focusing more on what's going on around him. Just a few more weeks until we get that first (non-gas induced) smile, we hope! For more pictures, see our Kodak site.
